Minister: Russia's GDP can rise by at least 4.3% in 2021
MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by at least 4.3% in 2021, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said on Friday.
"The last figures for October that we have received, allow us to adjust the estimate of economic growth: whereas we used to plan a 4.2% increase of the GDP this year, we now can say that the growth will amount to no less than 4.3%," Reshetnikov said.
He added that the figures are quite good, but the mining industry has not recovered pointing to growth potential in 2022.
Investment is rising above the forecast and is to increase by 5.6% in 2021, with the estimate rising from 4.5% expected in September.
